About Us

My Practice
With a history of 2,000 to 3,000 years, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)
has formed a unique system to diagnose and correct/balance human health
issues. There are four basic branches of TCM treatment:
1. Chinese Acupuncture
2. Chinese Herbalism
3. Chinese Food Therapy
4. Chinese Acupressure
Taili Chou L. Ac., Texas medical board licensed acupuncturist of Champions
Acupuncture, is highly educated, trained, and experienced in those four
areas. She chooses the most effective treatment from those areas to meet
every individuals need. Acupuncture is the most common practice in the
clinic. Her level of expertise is elevated by special training she received
from Master Tong’s theory. Her unique approach uses minimal needle
application, yet provides effective results that patients can rely on.
Chinese herbs have been used for centuries. Chinese herbology often
incorporates ingredients from all parts of plants, such as the leaf, flowers,
stem, root, and also ingredients from animals and minerals. There are a
number of ways to prepare the herbs. Raw herbs can be boiled and taken
as a tea or decoction. Prepared Chinese herbs are sold as pills, tablets, or
capsules. Champions Acupuncture selects the highest quality of prepared
herbs for their patients. We use prepared herbs for three reasons: they are
safe, convenient, and economic. Taili Chou is also a Chinese herbalist
certified by NCCAOM (National Certification commission for Acupuncture
and Oriental Medicine). Proper diagnosis, correct herb selection/dosage,
and patient outcome follow up are the main principles of her herbal
medication practice.
